The Clotheshorse Connection accepts only clean items in good condition and of current styling. We specialize in consigning high quality designer show clothes and tack items. Any items that Clotheshorse receives which are not accepted to sell via our website or at trade shows (due to being outdated or in poor condition) will have the option of being returned to the consignor at their cost or donated to a local 4-H club.

We will set starting prices for your items. If you wish, you may opt to place a “lowest acceptable selling price” on your item. Clotheshorse will then contact you via phone or email to alert you when your item has reached your determined bottom line. At that point, you may decide to either attempt to sell the item in an online auction (which we will facilitate), reduce the price further, or have the item shipped back to you at your cost. You can set your preferences when you send us your items by filling out the “Consignment item list” and sending it along with your package.

You will make 75% of the final selling price on items under $1500.00 and 85% of the final selling price on items $1500.00 and over.

If an item shipped to us is in need of cleaning or repair, (ie; rhinestone resetting, dry-cleaning, laundering or other) the seller will be notified and charged a variable fee for such service.

If your item is not sold within the first 90 days of consignment, the price will be automatically reduced by 10%. Then after an additional 30 days it will be reduced again by 10%. The price will continue to be reduced until the item sells. In the event that no one buys your item(s), or if it has reached your lowest acceptable selling price and has not sold in 30 days, Clotheshorse will either donate your item(s) to charity, attempt to sell the item(s) in a no reserve online auction, or return the item(s) to you at your cost. (Depending on what you would like us to do of course!)

Payouts will be made to consignors approximately two weeks after the item sells. When your item(s) sell, you’ll get a check in the mail, it’s that simple.

After you ship your items to Clotheshorse Connection,(or give them to us in person at a show, email for show dates and locations) they will be marketed extensively via our website with photographs and descriptions. They may also travel to AQHA, APHA, PTHA, and open shows with the Clotheshorse Connection to be marketed directly at these events.
